Espaço Compartilharte NGO

Living together with shared values and human rights as the basis for attaining full citizenship: this was the inspiration behind the Paths to Family and Community Living (Veredas da Convivência Familiar e Comunitária) Project. Its purpose is to help ensure more effective all-round protection for at-risk children and adolescents in rural Teresópolis. To do so, it promotes education for life through artistic and cultural languages, backed by social and family support, strengthening the bonds of family and community life. This project culminated in the Full Protection Network (RPI) which indicated a new institutional guideline: extending the sustainability of the actions implemented, so that families can identify their own needs and find alternative ways of referring them to government authorities.

The methodology used by this Project was published in the book launched in 2006 entitled: The Art of Sharing, presenting a social work methodology addressing families, (Da Arte de Compartilhar, uma metodologia de trabalho social com famílias).
