With a Doctorate in Economics from the Economics Institute at the Rio de Janeiro Federal University (IE/UFRJ), she is a Professor at this Institute in the Public Policies field, as well as a Consultant for the Kellogg Foundation. A Partner-Leader of the Avina Foundation since 2004 and a Senior Fellow of the Synergos Institute, she was a Director of Brazil’s National Social and Economic Development Bank (BNDES) from 1996 through to 2002.
A speech therapist with a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the National Public Health School at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (ENSP/ Fiocruz), with graduate studies in sociology at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Rio de Janeiro, she chaired the Refazer NGO, which is linked to the Fernandes Figueira Institute at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, and also served as a Consultant for the Rio de Janeiro Chapter of the Brazilian Small Business Bureau (SEBRAE) for the Integrated Local Sustainable Development Programme (DLIS).
With a degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics both from the University of São Paulo (USP), she has worked with sustainable development projects for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ação da Cidadania NGO, preparing outreach projects. A research assistant with the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), she is currently taking a specialty course in Education and Inclusion at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Rio de Janeiro.
A speech therapist, she has fifteen years´ experience in the administrative area with institutions such as the Banco Garantia and Pictet Modal Asset Management.
Degree in Journalism with graduate studies in Media Education, both at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Rio de Janeiro. Researcher with MultiRio, an enterprise linked to the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Education Bureau; worked with outreach projects focused on media education and also coordinated the Anima Escola Project conducted in local government schools.
Master’s and undergraduate degrees in Social Work from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Rio de Janeiro. Spent ten years working with the Renascer Children’s Health Association, coordinating vocational training and education projects for families, in addition to managing the Family Services area.
Administrator, studying for an MBA in Sustainable Business Management at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). Worked in the administrative area at NGOs linked to art and education. Implemented the administrative sector for the Canta Brasil Socio-Cultural Group in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul State, serving as volunteer treasurer and consultant.
