Under a partnership with the Instituto Desiderata the Municipal Civil Defence and Education Bureau conducted monitoring visits in July to Investigation Centre Hospitals in Rio de Janeiro encompassed by the early diagnosis policy for childhood cancers backed by the United through the Cure (Unidos Pela Cura) Initiative.
Its purpose is to disseminate this policy in hospital wings, in addition to clearing up doubts on the use of the computerised system used by this Initiative, in order to enhance the quality of the data recorded on the outcomes of suspected cases of childhood cancers referred for basic care.
Next month, we will have a report on the results of these visits - but we can already confidently state that they have helped strengthen the partnership links among the institutions covered by this policy.
