The United through the Cure (Unidos Pela Cura) Initiative featured twice at the IX Paediatric Congress for Rio de Janeiro State (CONSOPERJ), held on May 14 – 16. A presentation on this Initiative, prepared by Martha Vilela and the other members of the management team of the Childrens’ Programme run by the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Health Bureau was presented as a poster.

Additionally, the Rio de Janeiro State Paediatrics Society (SOPERJ), which is the institution jointly in charge of the United through the Cure Initiative, displayed a poster on its stand illustrating the referral route for suspected cases of childhood cancers in Rio de Janeiro, in addition to spotlighting its links to capacity-building efforts among paediatricians and the virtual monitoring system for this project as a whole.
