Dear Colleagues,

Due to the extremely bad weather in Rio de Janeiro from the evening of Thursday, October 15, 2009 through to the following Saturday, it was not possible for Professor Tomaz Szczepanski to travel from the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) in São Paulo.  This is why the I Meeting on Onco-Hematology Services in Rio de Janeiro was cancelled, after this researcher had spent several hours trying to catch a plane on Friday and Saturday.

However, he will be happy to comment by email on all cases submitted (Hemorio, IPPMG and INCA).  Should they wish to do so, units may submit their case studies by email to: elainesc@centroin.com.br, including the names of all the authors at the institution.
We are assessing the possibility of conducting a video-conference with Professor Szczepanski later in the year.

We deeply regret this occurrence, apologising on behalf of all the organisers on the event:  Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ), Rio de Janeiro State Paediatrics Society (SOPERJ) and the Instituto Desiderata.
