The Exchange Fund

The Exchange Fund is a resource offered to organisations that have already been financed by the Instituto Desiderata.  Its main purpose is to encourage the circulation of knowledge among a wide variety of outreach organisations in Rio de Janeiro, supporting capacity-building processes, exchanges of experiences, systematisation of methodologies and joint activities.  The idea is to make good use of the potential and enhance the value of knowledge available in Rio de Janeiro, while also upholding relationships with the partner institutions already supported by this Institute.  Four partnership projects were underwritten by the Exchange Fund in 2008:  Praticável, Espaço Compartilharte, Spectaculu and Circo Baixada.

How to apply to the Exchange Fund for financing

The Exchange Fund is designed to underwrite specific activities, with awards granted only to organisations that have already been part of the Be Capable (Ser Capaz) Programme, or the Partnerships for Education Programme run by the Instituto Desiderata.

Its main purpose is to help know-how circulate among various outreach organisations in Rio de Janeiro, underpinning capacity-building activities, exchanges of experiences, systematisation of methodologies and joint activities. The idea is to make the best possible use of all potential and bring out the full value of the know-how circulating in Rio de Janeiro, while also maintaining relationships with the Partner Institutions that have already been supported by the Instituto Desiderata. Four partnership projects were underwritten by the Exchange Fund in 2008, with the following NGOs: Praticável, Espaço Compartilharte, Spectaculu and Circo Baixada.

Support from this Fund may be requested once a year, at any time.
