The Megaphone at School Project was presented during a panel session organised by the Cesgranrio Foundation at the Education, Citizenship and Society Forum held on Wednesday, November 24 in the auditorium at the headquarters of this institution, on the keynote theme of: The Voice of the Children of Rio. The Foundation invited Instituto Desiderata Director Beatriz Azeredo and CEDAPS Coordinator Kátia Edmundo to present the methodology and findings of the Megaphone at School survey. The panellists also included pupils from two municipal government schools (Escola Municipal República Argentina and Escola Municipal Jenny Gomes) who spoke about their experiences as interviewers and respondents in this survey.

Forum Coordinator Professor Terezinha Saraiva and Professor Carlos Alberto Serpa, the President of the Cesgranrio Foundation opened the event, which was moderated by Jurema Holperin from the Municipal Education Bureau. The presentations were followed by a discussion with the audience, which praised the participative approach adopted by this survey and the possibility that this methodology may well help build up knowledge and expertise in schools.
